Jake “El Gallo de Dorado” Paul, 28yrs, (11-1, 7kos) will Clash against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 39 yrs. (54-6-1-1, 34 Kos) the son of the Legend on June 18, 2025 at the Honda Center, Anaheim, CA. the fight will be show on DAZN pay-per-view.

Jake Paul who has become the face of boxing entertainment is making his return after his unanimous decision win against the living legend Mike Tyson back in Nov 15, 2024 at the A.T & T Stadium in Arlington Texas. That bout against Iron Mike scored the biggest boxing gate ($18 million) in U.S history outside of Las Vegas and around 65 million people watched that fight, making it the most streamed sporting event ever at that time. Paul’s pay out for the fight was roughly $40million. Not bad for a youtuber.

That’s why with those numbers alone make The Problem child must watch T.V. and one of the most recognizable names in the boxing game today.

His opponent is Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, 39yrs, ex WBC middleweight champion of the world (2011-12), and is probably best known for being the son of the Great Mexican legend Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.  Chavez Jr. last fight was against ex UFC contender Urijah Hall back in July 20, 2024 via UD in a 6-round fight.

The fight will happen at the 200lbs Cruiserweight division, a weight that both Chavez and Paul have fought before. Paul’s fight with Tyson was at 227lbs, Chavez weight against Hall was at 200lbs, both stand at 6’1, with Paul having a 3-inch reach advantage over Chavez, Paul come with a 76 reach, while Chavez has a 73 reach.

Chavez at the age of 39 is past his prime, while Paul is just hitting his stride at a young age of 28. Chavez was a WBC middleweight champion back in 2012 and probably fought his last legitimate boxing fight of his career back in 2019 against Daniel Jacobs.

Both Paul and Chavez have both have fought UFC legend Anderson Silva. Chavez lost an 8th round SD back in 2021, where Paul defeated the Brazilian legend by 8th round UD back in 2022.

Chavez still has the edge in experience and ring generalship, but the Problem Child looks to have the advantage in youth, power and undeniably extreme confidence after winning his fight with Mike Tyson.

If Chavez prepares diligently for this fight, he will give Jake Paul a run for his money, but Jake Paul’s power is real, as he has KO 7 of his 10 opponents. He put Anderson Silva on his back, where Chavez struggled throughout his fight with UFC legend. The Honda Center will be a packed arena on June 28, as the self-made boxer will most likely finish the Mexican ex-champ under 8 rounds, proving once again that El Gallo de Dorado is the real deal, a real boxer that has a taken over the sport of boxing and has a bright future in the sweet science of boxing
